Grot12 Condensed is part of a wider family that spans three widths — Condensed, Normal and Extended — each sharing a common grotesque DNA anchored in the British Industrial Revolution. The Stephenson Blake Grotesque types serve as a reference point, lending the design its characteristic closed apertures and even stroke rhythm. Fourteen styles in the Condensed cut run from Thin to Black with matching italics throughout.

Inspired by Stephenson Blake's Victorian-era Grotesque series, Grot12 sits firmly in the British grotesque tradition rooted in the Industrial Revolution. The condensed width is one of three in an interconnected multi-width family.
