About
Released in 2021, Elza takes the neo-grotesque tradition's drive for consistency and pushes it further: round letters carry small straight segments on their sides that help maintain coherence across widths and give the forms a mechanised, almost clinical quality. The family spans eight weights from Thin to Black with matching obliques across standard, Narrow and Condensed widths, plus related subfamilies including Elza Text and Elza Round. A variable version covers weight, width and slant axes, and each font carries around 900 glyphs with broad Latin language support, small caps, tabular and old-style figures, and a single-storey alternate /a.
