Fabbrica Sharp specimen from CAST

A geometric sans with deliberately sharp corners, designed by Michele Patanè for branding, publishing and technical applications across eight weights.

About

Fabbrica Sharp is the hard-edged variant of Patanè's Fabbrica family, where squared curves and sharp corners resist the natural optical rounding that occurs at small sizes or on low-resolution devices. Eight weights from Thin to ExtraBold each carry an italic, and an extensive set of OpenType features includes constructed style, streamlined uppercase, circled figures, tailless l and open c variants. The sharp construction lends a direct, industrial character suited to headlines and display settings as much as to functional body copy.

Classification

Squared curves, technical-geometric letterforms and even proportions place this firmly in the geometric sans genre; the sharp-cornered construction distinguishes it from its rounded sibling Fabbrica.
