Untitled Serif specimen from Klim Type Foundry

A quotidian old-style serif drawn from post-Caslon metal workhorses, paired by concept with Untitled Sans for plain, readable text.

About

An old-style serif by Kris Sowersby drawn from the post-Caslon, pre-Times workhorses that nearly every metal foundry once offered, then quietened in the spirit of Morrison and Fukasawa's Super Normal. Three weights (Regular, Medium, Bold) with italics keep the family lean, and a variable weight axis is supplied with the full family. Pairs by concept with Untitled Sans, and works for editorial body, books and brands that want a serif with no obvious authorial signature.

Classification

Klim classifies it as Modern: Garalde/Oldstyle; drawn from the post-Caslon, pre-Times workhorses of metal type, sharing Untitled Sans's Super Normal concept rather than a shared skeleton.
