Released in 2021, Rund draws on the tradition of Futura, Avenir and Neuzeit Grotesk while adding a specific detail: curved strokes end in slightly concave terminals, as though cut by a large circle, a device that references Optima and broad-nib penmanship. This quality becomes visible at display sizes, adding personality without compromising the reliability expected of the genre at text sizes. The family spans eight Text weights with italics and a separate Display subfamily with exaggerated terminals and tighter spacing, with a variable font available on request.
