Trim specimen from Letters from Sweden

A geometric sans by Göran Söderström that applies systematic stem-trimming across every possible letterform, inspired by the work of Danish designer Knud V. Engelhardt.

About

Released in 2012 by Letters from Sweden, Trim extends a design principle drawn from Engelhardt's trimmed diagonal stems to cover all letters in the family, not just diagonals. The result is a large, wide-ranging family from very light to black weights, with coverage across Latin, Cyrillic and Greek scripts. Companion families Trim Poster and Trim Mono extend its range for display and monospaced applications.

Classification

Trim is a geometric sans-serif distinguished by its trimmed diagonal and curved stems, a concept derived from the work of Danish designer Knud V. Engelhardt. The systematic cutting of terminals across all letterforms gives it a distinctive angular, constructed quality.
