LL Bradford
Lineto · Laurenz Brunner

A text serif developed over ten years by Laurenz Brunner, tracing a lineage from Römische Antiqua through Plantin and Times New Roman.
About
Conceived for high-volume text setting, Bradford draws its primary reference from the 1884 Römische Antiqua, the German design that fed directly into Pierpont's Plantin and Morison's Times New Roman. Fourteen cuts run from a delicate light to a powerful black, each with italics, and a monospaced companion extends the family for screen and code contexts. The design consciously preserves the physical presence of hot metal type while remaining comfortable across both print and digital applications.
Classification
Rooted in the Römische Antiqua tradition and its descendants Plantin and Times New Roman, Bradford is a text serif with hot-metal origins and transitional proportions, built for high-volume setting.
