LL Ivory Mono
Lineto · Aurèle Sack · 1974

The monospaced subfamily of Aurèle Sack's LL Ivory, bringing the family's sturdy serif construction and surgically clean geometry into fixed-width cuts.
About
Drawn by Aurèle Sack, LL Ivory Mono takes the reduced-contrast serif shapes of the LL Ivory text family and applies them to a monospaced grid — an unusual combination that gives the cuts both typographic character and technical utility. Three weights from Light to Medium each come with italics, making it usable across a range of settings where a serif mono would ordinarily be a compromise. The family originated in a 2016 commission for Vogue Hommes Paris and was developed over several years through editorial, book and identity work before wide release.
Classification
LL Ivory Mono is the monospaced subfamily of a high-contrast serif family, making it a rare serif monospaced design with pronounced serifs and reduced contrast suited to text use.
