LL Ivory Var
Lineto · Aurèle Sack · 2023

A serif family by Aurèle Sack rooted in 19th-century American wood type, refined through geometric construction and extended into display, text and monospaced cuts.
About
Initiated in 2016 as a commission for Vogue Hommes Paris, LL Ivory developed from a titling serif inspired by American wood type and poster fonts into a full family spanning display and text grades. Sack reduced contrast and trimmed the serifs for the text version, producing a sturdy, clear-cut body type that retains some extravagance from the display styles. Three monospaced cuts extend the family further, and the whole range carries the surgically precise geometry characteristic of Sack's work at NORM.
Classification
Derived from 19th-century American wood type and poster fonts, LL Ivory is a high-contrast serif with pronounced shapes and geometric construction, available in both display and text variants with reduced contrast, and monospaced cuts.
