NaN Rage specimen from NaN

Seven matched font families spanning slabs, sans-serifs, a rounded cut, a script and an experimental variant, built as a single coherent type system with shared proportions and language support across 305 Latin-based languages.

About

Designed by the NaN team and released in 2024, the Rage Typographic Universe draws from 19th-century titling wood-types and early computer fonts to produce seven distinct but interchangeable families. Each ranges from Extra-Condensed to Standard in width and Thin to Black in weight, giving 36 styles per subfamily and 252 styles across the full system. The shared proportions and contrast mean any combination of Beau, Slab, Sans, Soft, Poly, Quik and Zipp can be mixed for editorial, branding or motion work without visual friction.

Classification

A sprawling type system spanning slab-serifs, early sans-serifs, a rounded variant, a script and an experimental cut, drawing on 19th-century wood-type and early computing aesthetics. No single category applies; display is the closest given the headline-first orientation and the sheer expressive range across seven distinct subfamilies.
