Gasket
Occupant Fonts · Cyrus Highsmith · 2016

A humanist sans by Cyrus Highsmith, originally drawn as a companion to his own children's book illustrations, now expanded into a six-weight family with italics and small caps.
About
Designed by Cyrus Highsmith and released in 2016, Gasket began as a single font made to sit alongside the designer's own illustrations in a children's book. Its mild slant and subtly staggered stroke endings give the letterforms an easy, animated rhythm without tipping into novelty. The family spans six weights from Thin to Bold, each with a matching italic, and includes small caps alongside Unicase and Uncial variants.
Classification
Gasket displays humanist sans-serif characteristics with a gentle, slightly slanted rhythm and subtly staggered stroke endings that give it an informal, hand-influenced quality distinct from geometric or grotesque models.
