A revision of the 2014 Varial, this family spans eight weights from ExtraLight to Ultra, each with a matching italic, in a pronounced extra-condensed cut suited to headlines and tight settings. Small capitals, discretionary ligatures, fractions and multiple stylistic sets are included, alongside an extended Latin character set covering a wide range of European languages. The family is planned to expand with Rounded and Super Rounded variants.
Classification
An extra-condensed sans-serif with grotesque characteristics, updated from the 2014 original Varial. The extreme width compression and neutral structure place it firmly in the condensed grotesque category.
