About
Items Text is the text-size branch of the Items system. A more robust build, subdued stroke contrast and open spacing make it suitable for body copy and long-form reading. Seven weights from Thin to Black, including an extra Book weight, are matched with italics, and the cut sits inside a wider Items system that extends across Condensed, Standard and Wide widths in both Display and Text branches. Latin Extended language support, multiple numeral sets and a pixel set of arrows, punctuation and icons echoing Susan Kare's work round it out.
Classification
The Text branch of Items, with subdued stroke contrast, open spacing and an additional Book weight; designed for pleasant performance in body sizes within the wider Times-lineage Items system.
