Scto Grotesk A specimen from Schick Toikka

Scto Grotesk's wider flavour: a confident neo-grotesque in six weights with italics, drawn for the rational, least-quirky version of the genre.

About

Scto Grotesk A is the wider of the family's two flavours. The foundry describe it as 'beaming with confidence', with strokes cut horizontally or vertically across all weights, a straight-legged R, square dots and matched ascenders and cap heights. Six weights from Thin to Black with matching italics, italics that slope only as much as needed for inline emphasis, an extended Latin character set and useful extras such as circled numbers make it a versatile workhorse for identity, editorial and UI work. Pair with Scto Grotesk B for a more economical set width.
