Scto Grotesk B specimen from Schick Toikka

Scto Grotesk's narrower flavour: a neo-grotesque tuned for economical set widths in six weights with italics, but not a condensed.

About

Scto Grotesk B is the narrower of the family's two flavours. The foundry stress that B is narrower than A but is not a condensed; instead it serves well when a more economical set width is in order, while keeping all the family's rational details: horizontal and vertical stroke ends across all weights, a straight-legged R, square dots, matching ascenders and caps. Six weights from Thin to Black with matching italics, an extended Latin character set and circled-number extras make it a workhorse partner to Scto Grotesk A.

Classification

The narrower flavour of Scto Grotesk; the foundry stress it is narrower than A but not a condensed, intended for economical set widths.
