Syke sits between humanist and geometric traditions, using narrowly rounded letterforms with subtle square detailing to produce a typeface that works cleanly at screen sizes and in motion contexts. Each of the seven weights carries true italics, and the family is built out with over 570 characters per style, five numeral variants, ligatures and manually edited kerning. A companion monospaced family, Syke Mono, extends the system for code or tabular use.
