Typewalk 1915 specimen from Typocalypse

An eleven-weight grotesque drawing on early 20th-century European sign-painting tradition and the proto-rational language of Werkbund Objectivity, with a matching monospaced companion.

About

Designed by Sven Fuchs, Typewalk 1915 takes the quirks of pre-war European lettering culture and channels them into a versatile grotesque suitable for cultural, editorial and branding work. Eleven weights from Thin to Heavy each come with a matching italic, giving the family considerable range for print and web. Typewalk Mono 1915 extends the family into a monospaced variant, making it a coherent system across both proportional and fixed-width settings.

Classification

Described explicitly as a Grotesque with roots in early 20th-century European sign painting and the proto-rational Werkbund aesthetic, placing it firmly in the grotesque sans-serif tradition.
