The family splits into three subfamilies: Munchenstein Text covers seven weights with slanted counterparts, Munchenstein Display extends into hairline weights and adds forward and backslanted styles, and Munchenstein Slab offers a single regular weight including a colour variant. A variable font is also available for the Text subfamily. The backslanted styles in the Display range are a distinctive departure from standard grotesque conventions.
