Grot12 specimen from A2-Type

A 42-style grotesque family drawing on Stephenson Blake's Victorian industrial type, offered in three widths from Condensed to Extended.

About

Rooted in the Stephenson Blake Grotesque series of the Industrial Revolution era, this is A2-Type's follow-up to their earlier Grot10 family. The three-width structure — Condensed, Normal and Extended — runs from Thin to Black with matching italics across all cuts, giving 42 styles in total. A workmanlike British grotesque with historical grounding, suited to editorial and identity use where a period-inflected sans is needed.

Classification

Directly inspired by Stephenson Blake's Victorian-era Grotesque series, placing it firmly in the British grotesque tradition with industrial-era letterform references. Three widths and a full weight range confirm the grotesque sans genre.
