Massimo Grafia
Nice To Type · Gabriel Richter and Andreas Uebele · 2018

A grotesque with hand-drawn origins, offering a calm base alongside an unusually rich set of alternates across proportional, semi-mono and mono variants.
About
Drawn from handwritten correspondence by Andreas Uebele during his residency at Villa Massimo in Rome, Massimo Grafia pairs a restrained grotesque foundation with at least five alternates for every letter, numeral and both cases. The family spans three spacing models — proportional, semi-mono and mono — each available in four weights, with a variable font covering both weight and mono axes. A stripped Plain version ships alongside each weight for faster web loading when the alternates are not needed.
Classification
