Massimo Grafia Mono specimen from Nice To Type

A monospaced grotesque with handwritten roots, offering four weights and an extensive set of character alternates drawn from Andreas Uebele's handwritten correspondence at Villa Massimo in Rome.

About

Derived from handwritten letters by Andreas Uebele during a scholarship in Rome, Gabriel Richter expanded the idiosyncratic letterforms into a structured grotesque family with proportional, semi-mono and fully monospaced cuts. Each weight ships with at least five alternates per character for both upper and lowercase, alongside a full suite of figure styles, fractions and OpenType features. A variable font spanning weight and mono axes is included with purchase of the static family, alongside a leaner Plain version for faster web loading.

Classification

The family spans proportional grotesque, semi-mono and fully monospaced cuts, with the Mono subfamily representing a true fixed-width grotesque derived from handwritten letterforms.
