Massimo Grafia Semi Mono
Nice To Type · Gabriel Richter and Andreas Uebele · 2018

A grotesque with hand-drawn origins spanning proportional, semi-mono and mono subfamilies, with five alternates per character for expressive variation.
About
Developed from letters hand-written by Andreas Uebele during a residency at Villa Massimo in Rome, the typeface was extended by Gabriel Richter into a full grotesque family with a calm, constructed base. Each subfamily steps incrementally towards monospacing, and extensive stylistic sets offer at least five alternates per character across both cases and numerals. A variable font supporting Weight and Mono axes is included with every static family purchase.
Classification
A grotesque with a distinctively hand-drawn origin, sitting between a proportional and monospaced grotesque. The Semi Mono subfamily occupies a middle ground between the standard Massimo Grafia and the fully monospaced Mono variant.
