Bull-5
Tightype · David Einwaller

A typewriter revival by David Einwaller, digitised from 1960s Olivetti-derived type specimens and extended across three stylistic subfamilies.
About
Drawn from photographic print labels sourced from a closing American newspaper archive, Bull-5 preserves the irregular proportions and raw rhythm of its typewriter source material across Mono, Proportional and Typewriter styles. Bold punctuation and optional features including double-width M and W and serifed I, i, J and j run through all variants as a unifying thread. Six weights from Regular to Black, each with an italic, give it a range unusual for a typewriter-derived face.
Classification
Derived from 1960s typewriter fonts attributed to Olivetti, with Mono, Proportional and Typewriter subfamilies that all retain the mechanical irregularities of the source material.
