David Einwaller began the project by scanning photographic print labels sold at the closure of an American newspaper archive, then drew the Mono styles to honour the source material's irregular proportions and raw character. The family sits within the broader Bull-5 system alongside Proportional and Typewriter styles, unified by bold punctuation and optional features including double-width M and W and serifed I, i, J and j. Six weights from Regular to Black give considerable range for editorial, archival and design-in-industry contexts.
