One of four variants in the Gustella superfamily, Stripes applies horizontal striping to an already extreme reverse-contrast structure, pushing the high-contrast tradition of nineteenth-century Western letterforms and Hippy-era graphics into a precise digital form. All four Gustella variants — Solid, Stripes, Inline and Boxed — share identical metrics, allowing them to be layered or overprinted for composite effects. The character set is thorough, covering Western, Central and East European Latin languages alongside stylistic alternates, multiple figure sets, fractions and case-sensitive punctuation.
