Parmigiano Headline specimen from Typotheque

A didone serif system from Typotheque with four optical-size cuts, the Headline variant tuned for large-scale display settings with sharp stroke contrast.

About

Part of the Parmigiano system, this Headline cut is designed for large sizes where high contrast between thick and thin strokes reads at its most precise. The family runs six weights from Thin to Black, each with a matching italic, across four optical size variants: Headline, Text, Caption and Piccolo. A variable version of the Text cut is also available, and the system's name nods to Bodoni's connection to Parma.

Classification

Parmigiano is a high-contrast serif system with a name evoking Bodoni's Parma origins; the Headline cut is optimised for large display sizes with sharp contrast typical of the didone tradition.
