Lateral Extended sits one notch wider than Lateral Standard and one notch narrower than Lateral Expanded, within the seven-width Lateral system. The flat segments at curve extremes are clearly visible at this width, giving the cut its boxy, brutalist undertone while remaining workable for editorial as well as display use. Seven weights from Thin to Black with matching italics give it the range to handle hierarchy at this width, with continuous interpolation through the Lateral variable font.
