Lateral Standard specimen from Schick Toikka

The central width of Lateral: a workhorse neo-grotesque in seven weights with italics, where the family's flat curve segments are subtlest.

About

Lateral Standard is the central width of the seven-width Lateral system. At this point along the width axis the flat segments at curve extremes are short and of little visible consequence, leaving a cleanly proportioned neo-grotesque suitable for all-purpose typesetting. Seven weights from Thin to Black with matching italics handle hierarchy from text to display, and the cut connects to all other widths and to a slant axis through the Lateral variable font.

Classification

The central width within the seven-width Lateral system; the flat curve segments are short and of little visible consequence at this width.
