Lateral Ultra Wide
Schick Toikka · Florian Schick, Lauri Toikka

The widest cut of Lateral: an ultra-wide neo-grotesque with long horizontal parts, in seven weights with italics, sized for display.
About
Lateral Ultra Wide is the widest width in the seven-width Lateral system. The flat segments at curve extremes stretch into long horizontal bars, giving the cut its slow, brutalist stance; the foundry note that this width takes up more than five times the space of Lateral Ultra Compressed. Seven weights from Thin to Black with matching italics suit headlines, mastheads and statement display work, with continuous interpolation to all other widths through the Lateral variable font.
Classification
