Zed Display Compact is part of a sprawling type system that runs from Extra-Compressed to Extra-Wide across both sharp Display and rounded Round subfamilies, plus a separate Text subfamily for smaller sizes. Within the Display branch, each of the nine width cuts carries the same full weight range from Hairline to Black, supplemented by Slanted and Backslanted variants, giving designers unusual flexibility across a single coherent design. The system also ships as a variable font, consolidating the width and weight axes into a single file.
