Zed Display Extra-Wide specimen from Typotheque

The Extra-Wide width variant of Typotheque's Zed Display, a geometric sans system spanning nine widths, nine weights and three slope variants per subfamily.

About

Zed Display Extra-Wide sits at the broadest end of a geometric sans superfamily designed with a systematic logic that produces 27 styles per width variant, covering Hairline through Black with upright, slanted and backslanted cuts. The full Zed system extends across Display, Round and Text subfamilies plus an icon set and a variable font, making it one of the more architecturally complete type systems in contemporary retail type. Individual styles are named after world cities, from Amsterdam to Zaragoza.

Classification

Zed is a geometric display sans with an extensive width axis, ranging from Extra-Compressed to Extra-Wide. The Display subfamily is optimised for large-scale setting with sharp, upright and slanted variants.
